Here in SW France we have a micro climate which makes our area the second sunniest department in France, which is perfect for vine growing.
The local wine of the area is 'Pineau' which is close to a dessert wine and in Cognac which is approx 40mins from us they make Cognac.. not Brandy!
You can visit either a vineyard or cognac house and experience the wonders of both.
